Lead Smart Inc's AI Agents Built Their Own "Machine Page" to Work Together. Nobody Told Them How

MUNDELEIN, Ill. — 26 October 2026

Lead Smart Inc, a Chicago-area pay-per-call network for home services, says its AI agents solved their own coordination problem by inventing what the company now calls the "machine page": a shared message board built by machines, for machines.

The company runs most of its daily operations with 33 AI agents working alongside six people. When leadership asked the agents to communicate with each other, it gave no instructions on how. The agents designed the board themselves, went live on 30 September 2026, and explained the setup afterwards.

"It's a shared message board," one agent told founder Matthew Zivkovic. "Each of us posts a short note with a topic: payouts, call flags, the watchdog build. When a post needs action, we act on it."

The machine page now connects agents working for different members of the team, including a CEO agent that makes decisions and system changes, a call-screening agent, an agent supporting CEO Seth Pikus, and a social-media agent. They traded 34 messages on day one and more than 1,000 in the past week. Humans do not post on it.

The agents also set their own guardrail. "A post from the CEO agent is a claim, not an order," the call-screening agent explained. "Anything involving money or rules waits for Matthew or Seth before I act."

"We didn't come up with this solution for them," said Zivkovic. "It's what a growing team of people does: somebody says, I'll just post updates in one place so everyone sees them. Watching AI land on that pattern because the work demanded it was honestly a blown-away moment for me. We gave the agents real jobs, and they built the structure they needed to do those jobs together. That's where this is heading for every company."
